The cowboy and the kitty
We started off our Halloween by going to the trunk or treat at our church. It was raining, like usual in Philly, so it turned out to be a room-to-room treat! We also had a couple of games and some food to eat. Taegen loved just running around the gym playing with all the kids and balloons, and eating chips and hotdogs! And we finished off the night with a round of door to door trick or treating.

Date Night
So I decided to take my best little man out for a date, just me, him, mexican food and of course water ice! We started off the night by going to our favorite mexican restaurant in Philly called Johnny Mananas. We had yummy chips and salsa, and we shared the chicken fajitas... which were delicious!!! Then we had to end our night with the Philly favorite-water ice. Of course I opted for the gelati, which includes ice cream in your water ice. Taegen loves to choose his color of water ice and he wanted green. When we got there they didn't have it, they also didn't have blue, or purple. So way down on his list of colors he got orange, which is actually my favorite, mango. Taegen and me before we left for the date.
Johnny's which is really hard to see in this picture, sorry!

So I got Jade's 3 month pics and Taegen's 3 year pics taken about a month ago and am just now posting them... talk about procrastinating! Anyway once again I had Danica take them and once again she did a wonderful job. Check her blog out here. I chose a few of my favorites!
Notice all the rolls, couldn't you just eat her!

Taegen turns 3!
My little boy turned 3... I can't believe how big he is, and how much he is growing every day. Saturday morning we started out the day by eating birthday cake and opening presents, of course. Taegen got lots of fun things including books, a baseball hat, a razor with a helmet and pads, a new car seat, and a jersey. A special thanks to my parents and Jared's as well for their contribution to these great gifts. We then had decided to go to a place called Linvilla Orchards, which was sooo much fun. Its like a really big farm that they also turned into a great place to go with lots of fun activities. We were lucky and ended up going on apple festival day. We got there and started out the day by getting T's face painted. He picked out his own face which was "Big Green Dog". I think it suits him quite well. He sat there so good for her to paint and didn't even move a muscle, I wish he would sit that good to get his hair cut!!!

The finished product... scary huh?
We then moved on the the pony. Jared and I both thought he would start to cry, but nope not this big boy, what has happened. My little boy is so brave!

Then was the hay ride pulled by a tractor. Taegen of course loved this, they drove through a lot of their farm and showed you where everything grows including apples, pears, peppers, squash, blueberries, ect. It is a huge place.

They also have this huge playground, which of course is almost like heaven for Taegen. He was running around almost not knowing what to do because there was so much to choose from.

Idaho/Utah
Well we returned home from our trip last week and are glad to be home. Jared spent a month in Loma Linda, California to do an away rotation in Radiation Oncology. He loved his time there but of course missed us like crazy!!! After me, Taegen, and Jade were done in Colorado we spent the rest of our time in Idaho and Utah. It is always nice to come back and see friends and family, we have so much fun and did a lot of fun things while we were there.
Its always nice to have a little extra help with the kids, especially now that I have two! My mom is great to help bath Jade, and my dad was even helping bath Taegen for a few nights.
We were able to meet my grandparents and go to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It was nice to see them and visit and also nice for them to meet Jade. Here Taegen is riding the horse, he really should be farm boy. We took him the demolition derby while we were in Preston and he LOVED it!! He could not take his eyes off the cars crashing and the big tractors.
My dad, mom, grandpa, grandma, Jade, me, and Taegen at Texas Roadhouse in Pocatello.
Of course Taegen loves the four-wheeler. My dad was sweet enough to take him on many rides.

While we were in Salt Lake, my father-in-law took Taegen to a couple of baseball games. My son loves baseball and had a blast. The second night they went they were lucky enough to see fireworks, and what you ask would make Taegen do this...

the BIG SCARY BEE!!!!! Whatch out, he'll getcha!

We were also able to go and see one of Jared's good friends. This is actually the guy that Taegen is named after. He has been a great mentor and friend of Jared's and invited us up to his house. Taegen was able to run and play in the water, fish, and just be a boy. Oh, and did I mention he did it all naked. Thats right, they let their yard flood with water just for Taegen and he took full advantage.
