Small but Perfect

This may look really small and boring to all of you who had a huge family filled holiday, but it was perfectly delightful! Just my little fam, a ham, some corn, potatoes, and rolls. And for desert, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. I decided not to do anything fancy in terms of decorating or going all out for our dinner because lets face it, its just not worth it when there is only 3 1/2 people! Of course we missed our family a ton, but totally enjoyed our Philly Thanksgiving. Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving!!!

First taste of food...

So Jade had her first taste of food a couple of weeks ago and hated it, and two weeks later she still hates it. Hopefully when we move onto the veggies and fruits it will be a different story. These are not the prettiest pics of her but the flash from the camera kept blinding her and of course she wasn't a big fan of such a new taste.
Mom, seriously whats up with those lights?
Girls, don't be jealous of the legs! Don't we all wish we had those rolls? A perfect fit for a pair of skinny jeans!

More pics!!

I know, I know, more pictures!!! But it was once again time for family pics and of course, Jade's 4 months pictures. We decided to go downtown to University City in Philly, and they turned out so cute and urban, I love them. Danica shot them again and did a wonderful job, check out her website here.

The cowboy and the kitty

We started off our Halloween by going to the trunk or treat at our church. It was raining, like usual in Philly, so it turned out to be a room-to-room treat! We also had a couple of games and some food to eat. Taegen loved just running around the gym playing with all the kids and balloons, and eating chips and hotdogs! And we finished off the night with a round of door to door trick or treating.

Makett, Taegen, and Tanzen(my friends twins who just turned 1, aren't they cute)

Lining up for the parade to see whose costume was the best. I really can't believe T didn't win!

And were off, our first house of the night, one of our neighbors. Obviously she gave Taegen extra candy because he is soooo handsome.

Jared and our little kitty!

Date Night

So I decided to take my best little man out for a date, just me, him, mexican food and of course water ice! We started off the night by going to our favorite mexican restaurant in Philly called Johnny Mananas. We had yummy chips and salsa, and we shared the chicken fajitas... which were delicious!!! Then we had to end our night with the Philly favorite-water ice. Of course I opted for the gelati, which includes ice cream in your water ice. Taegen loves to choose his color of water ice and he wanted green. When we got there they didn't have it, they also didn't have blue, or purple. So way down on his list of colors he got orange, which is actually my favorite, mango. Taegen and me before we left for the date. Johnny's which is really hard to see in this picture, sorry!

Taegen enjoying his water ice, notice the crossed legs...too funny!

And Rita's, where we got our water ice.

And somebody had to stay home and take care of Jade...

MY MOM

Today is my mom's birthday and I just wanted to give a shout out to what an amazing mom she is! I have always looked up to my mom. Asking her advise on everything, seeking her wisdom, and calling her with all my questions, she is happy to be there. She is truly one of the kindest, selfless, most giving people I know. I just hope that one day I can have the same relationship with my kids as I have with her. She is my best friend and I would be lost with out her.

Happy Birthday Mom!!
