So I have been waiting to take pictures of the new kitchen until it was completely done, but lets face it, I have been very lazy lately. So needless to say the walls are not painted and all the decorations are not there, but everything else is pretty much done and I thought I better post some pics before my family goes crazy.
I must say how much I love the new kitchen. No more wheeling the dishwasher to hook it up to the sink, no more digging out food from the sink from the lack of a garbage disposal, no more wondering where I am going to put all of the dishes and food, no more gas lines showing from the oven, no more 80 year old linoleum that is ripping and stained...need I say more!!!! I just don't know what to do with myself. So here are a couple of before pictures just so you can compare.

So Funny!
So the other day I was downstairs and Taegen was upstairs playing with his toys. I was wondering what he was doing since it was so quiet up there. All of a sudden, he comes walking down the stairs with a pair of underwear over his diaper and carrying the rest of them in his hands. I had shown him his "new" underwear trying to get him excited about them thinking maybe I could potty train him. Well, I had put them back in his drawer still in the packaging they came in not thinking a thing about it. Needless to say it worked and he was very excited to wear his "ball" underwear. So I decided to try(not wanting to miss an opportunity) and potty train him, even though he is still really young for a boy. Things were going really well in the #1 department, but the #2 department was a whole other story, and I started getting REALLY tired of changing poopy underwear because it gets over everything; legs, feet, my pajamas, my hands... need I say more? So were giving it up for now, and we'll try again later.

Its a GIRL... or so we think!
So while Jared and I were in Utah over Christmas, we(well Jared), decided that we needed to get an early ultra sound to find out what we were having. So at 17 weeks we went to one of those places to find out the sex. They said they were 90 percent sure that is was a girl and Jared says hes 95 percent since he saw the 3 lines that indicate a girl. But since it was still pretty early to tell I wasn't going to be convinced until I had my official ultra sound when we got back home. Well I went in yesterday at 22 weeks to get the ultra sound and everything looked really good and the baby looked really healthy except that she or it was being very modest. The tech said that she had an inckling that is was a girl, but that she would not paint a room or rip off any of the tags on clothes yet. So I am still not 100% convinced that it is a girl, but I am planning one anyway. So for now YAY for us that were having a girl!!!

Back in Philly!
So we finally made it back to Philadelphia and to Jared. We are glad to be back but have a lot of work to do on our kitchen. It is pretty much done other than some changes that need to made to the backsplash and of coarse the painting. I am not looking forward to that but it will sure make a huge difference. We love it though and I totally feel like a spoiled chef! Jared is still totally busy with his surgery rotation. He just got done with Transplant and right now is on Orthopedic. He is loving it, but Taegen and I not so much. We only see him for about 30 minutes to eat dinner(if he actually makes it home for dinner)and then he's off to studying.
We had tons of fun in Idaho and Utah though. We spent time with family and friends and just relaxed. I was able to get my hair done(thanks Haley), which sad but true, is always one of the highlights when I come to Utah. I was also able to go to lunches with friends and family and Taegen was able to spend time with his cousins which he loves! I just wanted to say thanks to mine and Jared's family for taking us in once again and spoiling us rotten.
Here Taegen is helping grandpa Johnstun shovel the sidewalk, he loves to help in anyway he can. Taegen, Tayson, and Kaislyn licking the cake batter after helping grandma Jensen mix a cake. Taegen was not as big a fan as the other kids were with the batter, he gave his away... crazy kid!!
